Parameters for Representations of Real Groups

The basic references are [7] and [6]. The parameters given in these notes only exist in the unpublished preprint [4]. The case of regular integral in-finitesimal character is discussed in [1]. Everything appears, sometimes in somewhat different form, in [2]. A root datum is a quadruple (applied to Z∆ and Z∆ ∨) the conditions determine the bijection uniquely once ∆ and ∆ ∨ are given. In particular (X, ∆, X ∨ , ∆ ∨) is determined by (X, ∆) if Z∆ = X. This condition holds if and only if the corresponding group is semisimple.
